We thought it would be fun to highlight a few of our favorites, as we enter the Holiday season, to make your lives easier. Everything on this list was made on Block Island, in small batches. That’s the gift, really — something that came from a specific place, made by hands that know it. The rest is just matching the right thing to the right person.
Here’s the catch: Mail off the island is slower than you’d think! Make sure to put your orders in before December 15 for delivery before Christmas Day!
For the one who’s always cold
Winter on the island will teach you what actually works when it’s crisp and dry outside. Use our Warming Oil, made with black pepper, eucalyptus, and yarrow, for sore backs and stiff necks; the Healing Butter is great for hands that crack in the cold; and try one of our Super Lotions for extra-smooth skin. The Autumn Perfume Oil is another great choice for a warm and earthy mood from scents of amber, patchouli, and sandalwood.
For the gardener, the hiker, or that person who’s outside all winter
Start with lip balm, because wind does as much damage as the cold. Ours are shea and beeswax with evening primrose and rosehip oils. Then, the Healing Butter, because nothing else fixes split knuckles. For the person who’s truly out in it, the Winter Set has the whole kit: Super Lotion Lavender Lemon, Lavender Soothing Bath Salts, Healing Salve, Sinus Steam, and Healing Chest Rub. Bath to warm up, lotion and salve for the hands, steam and rub for the cold they may eventually catch.
For new parents
