Johanna is a certified herbalist with 20 years of experience. Her love of plants and a sustainable, healthy lifestyle led Johanna to make the Island Mist line of all natural bath and body products, as well as herbal teas and tinctures, and flower essences.
Christopher B. Matthews
President, COO, Investor
Chris spent over 40 years in Marketing and Operations with Coca-Cola, Mastercard, GE and BNP Paribas. Returning to his hometown of Newport, Rhode Island , and the breathtaking beauty of Block Island [ recently named by National Conservancy as the “Last Great Places in the World” ] has offset the challenges inherent in making Island Mist a nationally recognized brand.
Jill Liney
Product Advisor, Art Director
Jill has spent her entire career in the world of art. She has been a commercial artist with her own company Vulu Designs as well with Liz Claiborne. She has also taught in the Montousouri Schools in Westchester County, NY, where she raised three daughters.
Hailey Wilson
Hailey moved to Block Island in 2018 and began working at Island Mist soon after. She is actively involved in producing product, sharing ideas for her products, and wildcrafting a growing plants for the basin. Hailey’s other passion is nature photography.
